The power of wind and rubber bands

Science
Grade 3

Wind and rubber bands can make things move. When you build a car that runs on wind, the stronger the wind is, the farther the car goes, so a bigger force makes a bigger movement. With a rubber-band car, the more you stretch the band, the farther the car goes. By changing the wind with a fan, or changing how far you stretch the band, you can compare how the size of the force changes the distance. Once you know the rule, you can even stop the car on a target.
