Making things

Science
Grade 3

In this unit you use what you have learned about wind and rubber bands, light, sound, electricity, magnets, and weight to build toys. You may make a car that runs, a tool that shines, or a toy that makes sounds, and you think up your own way to make it work as you want. When something does not work, you change your design and try again. Showing your finished toy to your classmates helps you notice that what you learned is useful in everyday life.
