Odakyu Electric Railway is a train company in Japan. Its head office is in Shinjuku. Shinjuku is a part of Tokyo, the capital of Japan. On April 6, 2026, the company announced a new plan. Under the plan, station workers at all 70 stations on the Odakyu Line wear small cameras. The cameras went into use on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

The company put 90 cameras at its stations. Each station has one to three cameras. The cameras are called the LINKFLOW P3000. A worker wears the camera on the chest of his or her uniform. Each camera is used together with another device*1. With this device, a worker can send an alert*2 to a security company*3.

Workers do not record all the time. They turn the camera on only at certain times. One is when there is trouble at the station. This includes customer harassment*4. Another is when a worker walks around the station and finds a strange object or broken equipment*5. The station master*6 can also tell workers to use the camera when he or she thinks it is needed.

The station master keeps the videos. The company will use them only for the purposes it has set. Each camera can hold about 50 hours of video. When it is full, the camera erases the oldest video by itself.

The company explained why it wants the cameras. Sometimes a worker has to deal with a difficult situation. The camera records what really happened. Then the people who look into the problem can understand the situation well. They can decide what to do based on facts. The company says the cameras have three goals. They will help stop customer harassment. They will keep service from getting worse. And they will make the stations safer.

The company tested a camera at Setagaya-Daita Station in August 2025. After that, it compared several cameras and chose the LINKFLOW P3000. It tested the cameras again in March 2026. Then it started using them at every station on April 16.
