Weather and temperature

Even on the same day, the temperature changes in different ways depending on the weather. When you measure the temperature every hour on sunny, cloudy, and rainy days and draw a line graph, the shape of the day's change is easy to see. On a sunny day the temperature climbs quickly from morning to midday and falls in the afternoon, so the change is large. On a cloudy or rainy day, clouds block the sunlight and the change is small. Comparing a sunny day with a rainy day shows how weather and temperature are connected.
